Videos for finals

Thanks to my Vimeo Plus membership, which I paid today, I have uploaded some videos I made today for my final minor project. I need to decide which ones I’m showing at the crit and what I’m going to print. As the photographs won’t go any bigger that A3, I was thinking of also printing the actual billboards on A2..

Mocking up

Deciding on the publications’ size:

W: 173mm H: 243mm

The reason I want them that small it’s because they feel more special/limited smaller.

For the slip case I would like only the logo. I like the sophistication that the Circular has and I think by keeping it simple I could achieve that..

I printed the first visualisations of circles I have done, photographed them with the a slipcase made with a card and made a short animation (I took advantage and I had some fun)

Anthony Burrill

Anthony Burrill’s work is really geometrical, simple, clean, bright and eye catching!

My favourite work of Anthony Burrill is a poster made by using leaked BP oil taken from the gulf of Mexico

Looking at his work I remembered one time I visited Kemistry Gallery, I bought some postcards from an old exhibition of him! (coincidence?) The reason I bought them is because they look so simple, clean and geometrical

Screen billboard

I have also tested the text on a screen billboard in an image of St Pancras station. I wanted to make the text scroll fast and slow randomly so it can attract people’s interest, sometimes it could stop on certain phrases etc although this seems like a failed experiment. It could be better. Feedback given from this experiment was that the place where this picture was taken looks really busy so people won’t look at it, especially when the text scrolls so fast. Probably some phrases would better, instead of the whole text.
